The WHOLE SHEBANG was 5 stars for me, we were in town for a dog show at the raising canes venue, which was absolutely amazing shout out to BATON ROUGE native and show host CHRIS BARNES for the recommendation. The food, the servers, the atmosphere literally the whole place was top tier! Portions were hefty! Service was fast friendly and on point! We were a party of 20. Texas and Arkansas definitely enjoyed the food and vibes!
I'm giving it five stars across the board We are wisconsinites and Louisiana food has let's say a little different tang than I'm used to. Sorry I downed the bread pudding without a photo that was pretty awesome
Great food and service. We ordered a half-and-half shrimp and catfish platter and a salmon plate. Portions are generous at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!
We stopped in before heading home to Texas, a little skeptical but we were so surprised. The food was amazing and the house made Tobasco dressing was so good we ordered some to take home!!
This place deserves its high rating! You can tell locals love it (and visitors do too, as I wasn’t the only person who’d traveled to attend a work conference to come here). I would recommend the Delacroix in particular! Be aware that dishes skew a little spicy, but of course this is common in Cajun cuisine. The portion sizes are also HUGE, and for the reasonable prices, very generous. I’d love to come here again if I’m ever back in the area.
This was my first time at Parrain’s. We got half a dozen of both of their oysters and loved them. Also seafood gumbo and crawfish etouffee were very tast. My friend got their Bloody Mary and it was perfect she said :) prices were ok too.
We were driving through the area and decided to stop for dinner. I'm so happy we chose this restaurant. It was fantastic, fresh and the staff were very friendly. Service was fast and we all enjoyed the meal.
Awesome Aarya for dining out. This is a great location. And great atmosphere. We were seated quickly. Had a great server. One thing I noticed. All the servers were hustling maybe it’s because I was near the kitchen I noticed. Seem like a good place for young people to work. Food was delicious. We got the shebang. And shared the meal. Green beans were cooked perfectly. All the fried food was so delicious. We didn’t even need to ask for tartar or cocktail sauce.
I just had to share how lucky we were to discover this amazing restaurant! It’s the real old Cajun style, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was great, too, which made the whole experience even better. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often and try even more dishes. If you’re ever in the area, you’ve got to check it out!
This is our go to spot for taking out-of-town guests who want a true Louisiana seafood experience. The atmosphere feels authentically Baton Rouge, and the flavors never disappoint. We find ourselves coming back again and again. It’s truly a local tradition.
